Summer Holidays ft. Pakistani Education

 The education system of Pakistan is considered notorious for some obvious reasons. This includes pushing students under academic stress due to lack of planned course holidays and make students to study almost complete 12 months of a calendar year. However, primary and secondary school students are bestowed with planned holidays. Their educational year generally comprises of two major chunks of holidays;

  • Summer holidays usually extending from beginning of June to mid of August
  • Winter Holidays majorly comprising last fortnight of December

    Here we will be discussing summer part of Holidays. It is found out that students are generally excited about these holidays, maybe due to their large number. There are different hierarchy of schools based on their monthly fee receipts. Different hierarchy of schools have different approaches towards these holidays. Public and lower hierarchy schools generally load students with tons of meaningless homework. This generally includes writing English alphabets 50 to 100 times, writing numerical counting in the same frequency etc. This category of schools is focused mainly on traditional rotten academics. The schools that lie in the middle part of this hierarchy usually burden students with less academic stress. The provide them with booklets having mixture of curriculum and co-curriculum content. Students are supposed to finish these booklets during these holidays. They are generally focused on academics along with certain part of theoretical creativity of students. Upper hierarchy schools focus more on grooming of individual skills of students during these holidays, arranging different sports, arts, IT and discovery based workshops. They also burden students with theoretical work based solely on critical thinking and creativity of students. So they focus on sports, arts, or other activities.

     The main thing to notice is, only few students, supported through generational wealth, can afford going to these upper hierarchy schools. So for most of students, academic torture continues while rest get groomed to handle these academically tortured students in corporate sector of various kinds. Summer holidays should be consumed for individual growth rather than rotten academics. It becomes the responsibility of parents to take their children to all the knowledgeable places nearby,as per their resources. Students can visit nearby historical monuments, public administrative offices and law courts etc. to understand the basic working of them. It costs almost nothing but transportation expense. It is sort of cheating in the exam of practical life as you already know how to get your work done from these offices. In this way students can not only discover their field of interest but can also contribute to the welfare of society being aware of administrative system. They should also be exposed to professional sports where they can have remarkable career prospects.

       In conclusion, it is necessary for students to be well aware of world outside the pages of books where they can actually excel, earning materialistic benefits. There should be minimal traditional academic torture during summer holidays!

Thanksgiving to GOD!

              We all need to shift our aptitude towards thankfulness to whatever nature, consequences, God etc! Now what is thanks to these abstract entities? Offering them a bouquet of flowers, gifting them a decent wrist watch, presenting them a finely written book? The answer would probably be No!            Then what’s this thanks? To me this thanks is, be a source of more and more thanks being uttered from people around you, because of your kindness. Spread love, be the creator of more and more consequences which make others say thanks, so as to recompensate the nature for helping you and make society a place worth living!

How to become a poet/writer; a complete guide including training and opportunities.

  Becoming a poet ain’t a big deal if you’re studying in co-education. If you’re not, then you need to be an active part of your college societies, Ofc I don’t want school going kids to spoil their mental stability! The benefit of joining co-curricular societies especially debates and dramatics is that your college sends you out on external competitions where you, for the first time get to interact with opposite gender after grade Eight, yes thats how it works in Pakistan! Now both co-education and separate college dudes can have a crush this way!                After locking the target, you need to calm down!! I know there exists harmonal rush at this age but you really need to calm down, if you actually want to become a poet or writer, in the other case! Now you’re calm, all you need is to move closer both physically and mentally to your crush. But keep in mind, you need to to keep a safe physical distance cz if you breach this limit I can’...

Recent twitter hype ft. Arooj BDS

   The recent twitter hype should’ve been expected over change of twitter’s logo or name to “X” but in Pakistan dynamics, as always, are far different from expectations. It’s quite difficult to say, whether these dynamics are worst or better than expected ones.           The recent twitter hype in Pakistan was initiated by a user who posted a Screenshot of his WhatsApp, showing his mother has changed her display picture to the user’s photo in medical outfit, claiming it to be an achievement for him. This picture was supposed to depict the love of a mother towards her son, but outcomes differ greatly. This screen shot posted by user also revealed some of his other chats, two of them gained more attention, ‘Arooj BDS and ‘sherry<3’. It was revealed through his post on twitter that he has ignored her friend, he claimed, Arooj BDS for couple of days but replied to sherry<3 instantly. Here is the original twitter post;     As can be see...
