Recent twitter hype ft. Arooj BDS

   The recent twitter hype should’ve been expected over change of twitter’s logo or name to “X” but in Pakistan dynamics, as always, are far different from expectations. It’s quite difficult to say, whether these dynamics are worst or better than expected ones.

          The recent twitter hype in Pakistan was initiated by a user who posted a Screenshot of his WhatsApp, showing his mother has changed her display picture to the user’s photo in medical outfit, claiming it to be an achievement for him. This picture was supposed to depict the love of a mother towards her son, but outcomes differ greatly. This screen shot posted by user also revealed some of his other chats, two of them gained more attention, ‘Arooj BDS and ‘sherry<3’. It was revealed through his post on twitter that he has ignored her friend, he claimed, Arooj BDS for couple of days but replied to sherry<3 instantly. Here is the original twitter post; 


   As can be seen, this tweet has been seen by almost 600k twitter users yet, so far. Later the same user posted another tweet showing his audio conversation with Arooj BDS, whom he ignored earlier, and claimed that they were still friends and he did not ignore her intentionally but it was just a coincidence. As can be seen;


       Apparently there was nothing worth hype in this post but it’s interpretation, by fellow twitter users, was quite interesting! People on twitter related to this tweet showing how they often get ignored by their partner in one-sided love or the other way in the times of inconveniences during mutual relationship. Twitter users declared Arooj BDS as situation, rather than just a person, where you get ignored constantly by your crush despite of making multiple efforts to strengthen the sentiments of affection. 

     There were also a type of twitter users who consoled Arooj BDS on her being ignored by his friend or crush, they apparently presumed, and advised her to block his friend straight forward as she isn’t supposed to bear the constant pain of being ignored, while his friend can be seen replying to multiple people in the meantime including ‘sherry<3’. This usual post gained this much hype that it is trending as hot topic on twitter in Pakistan with more than 2.5k tweets;


     Indifferent of whatever was intended by the user who posted it, what was actually perceived, seemed quite relatable to twitter users who hyped this post. Major twitter traffic took it as meme content and are now rejoicing it. Here is how Twitter responded to this tweet;


People also related this event to yesterday’s incident in Islamabad High Court (IHC) where PMLN leader Atta Tarar was pushed aside by the security of former prime minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi, which was quite amusing;
